FANS of hit drama Game of Thrones are in with the chance of winning a dinner with Jon Snow- all in the name of helping Longlands Care Farm near Bromyard.

Actor Kit Harrington, who plays the fantasy drama hero, is offering the treat to major donors who contribute funds for Longlands Care Farm to build a new eco-friendly round house base for its work.

The farm offers a place for teenagers who struggle with mainstream school to fulfil their potential and is now on the lookout for a new home for its staff, volunteers and students as the organisation has outgrown its original headquarters.

Kit, who visited the farm with his fiancée and fellow Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie, said: “I’m very proud to be Patron of Longlands Farm. I’ve had a look round for the first time and it’s been an incredible experience.

"I’ve seen the wonderful work that goes on here, and I’ve met all these great guys. This round house is the next step, and I’m sure it will be a brilliant one.”

Longlands CEO, Julia Evans, who won the BBC Countryfile Farming Hero award in 2016 for her work with young people, said: “It was great to have Kit visit and spend some time with us. He was so interested in the project, and so friendly and engaged with everyone.

"We had a super morning with him, and it’s really exciting that Kit is supporting us and helping us to raise funds for this new project.”

Kit, whose family is local to the farm, is offering the chance of dinner at the Green Cow Kitchens fine dining restaurant on the Whitbourne estate.

Other prizes up for grabs for donors include a signed photo of Kit, photography lessons, a weekend at the farm, photography lessons, an aerial dance lesson and a character named after them in a crime novel.
