PHILIP Dunne, MP for Ludlow, is encouraging food-lovers to put forward nominations for the Tiffin Cup, an annual competition in Parliament to find the best South-Asian restaurant in the UK.

Members of Parliament put forward nominations from their constituency, with one restaurant from each region shortlisted and invited to the Grand Final cook-off event at Parliament.

This year, any proceeds will be donated to the charity World Vision.

“South Shropshire has some really impressive South-Asian restaurants, and last year’s entry, Golden Moments in Ludlow, was highly commended at the competition,” said Philip Dunne.

“But local residents will all have their own favourite restaurants, so I encourage constituents to email me before the April 1 deadline, to suggest which South-Asian restaurant they would like to see put forward for this award.

“I will then nominate the restaurant with the most votes, to go forward to the next stage of the competition.

“South Shropshire punches well above its weight in great food and drink, and this competition offers the chance to claim another accolade for a local restaurant.

"I look forward to seeing which restaurant receive the most nominations from food lovers in South Shropshire.”

Local residents have until April 1 to nominate their favourite South-Asian restaurant, by emailing Philip Dunne at philip.dunne.mp@parliament.uk.
