A LUDLOW woman with a love of bikes who had a dream come true before Christmas has died.

Miranda Cowan was a biker in her younger days and during a long and active life she has travelled all over the world on two wheels.

She was 69 and suffered from MS that had taken her speech.

Miranda was determined to live her life to the full and had put together a ‘bucket list’ of things that she still wanted to do before she died.

One of the things on that list was for a group of bikers to visit Hagley Place Residential Home where she lives.

With the help of Shann Thomas General Manager at Hagley Place that wish has came true before Christmas

Michelle Jones, the Activities coordinator contacted a local biker group and organised them to come, in secret, to surprise her.

The Shropshire biker group, led by Julian Wild all came to Hagley for Tea and Cake and to meet Miranda.

They brought with them a t-shirt and a hat and made her an honorary member of the group.

Miranda was overjoyed and so surprised a few tears were shed but all in the name of happiness.

She was brought up in London before moving to Wales and began riding when she was in her 40s.

Biking had taken her to much of the world apart from Australia. The bikers turned out to pay tribute at her funeral in Shrewsbury
