DUDLEY’S Army reserves unit are holding an open evening for anyone interested in a part-time career in the forces.

B Squadron, The Royal Yeomanry, will hold the event at the Army Reserve Centre in Vicar Street, tomorrow (Wednesday) from 7pm to 9pm.

Captain Andy Peters from B Squadron, The Royal Yeomanry in Dudley, said: “Everyone is welcome. They can come along and see what we do, meet our soldiers and see our vehicles, weapons and equipment.”

A jobs fair will also be held at the centre this week.

Thursday's fair, will be held in conjunction with Job Centre Plus.

It will showcase a variety of job and career opportunities to unemployed people and those considering a change of career.

In addition to a variety of employers and organisations, soldiers from the reserves will be on hand to talk to people about the many paid volunteer opportunities available at the event, which will run from 9.30am to 4pm.
