THIRTY-three new jobs will be bouncing into Dudley when a trampoline park opens its doors later this year.

Planners have approved Leap Dudley Ltd's plans to transform a former warehouse in Birmingham Road into a place where people can jump for joy.

In addition to the 64 trampolines, the park will have a restaurant serving up healthy grub, a soft play area for toddlers, a sensory room and a community information hub.

There will also be a multi-sports hall, where people can play basketball, walking football and badminton, a party room and a dedicated meeting room, which both public and third sector organisations will be encouraged to make use of.

Chris Campbell, of Leap Dudley Ltd, told the News that he decided to open the park on the back of Dudley being dubbed the 'unhealthiest town in the country' in the national press last year.

He said: "Hitting the government target of getting 45 minutes of physical exercise each day seems to be a rarity.

"We want to create something for all ages and levels of experience and make things more innovative and exciting."

Mr Campbell said he hopes to have the park, which will also have a Ninja Warrior-style course, open by October half-term.
