THE CAST of Mack and Mabel prepare for opening night with a visit to Detroit's Diner in Castle Street.

Tickets are still available for WODS' show, which opens at the Swan Theatre on Tuesday (October 21), following the life of silent movie director Mack Sennett.

The show opens in 1930 at the end of his relationship with Mabel when ‘the talkies’ had superseded the silent film era and Sennett was virtually penniless. At the top of the show Mack takes us back to 1911 and proceeds to recount the next 20 years in words and music encompassing events in the lives of Mack and Mabel.

Featuring some fabulous music made familiar by Torvill and Dean's Olympic and Ice show routines and fantastic tap dancing from a talented cast.
