FORMER Heavyweight World Champion boxer Frank Bruno MBE will be coming to Redditch.

He will be taking part in an intimate interview discussing his boxing career, his mental health battles, and his life as the people's champion.

Frank will be appearing at the Palace Theatre to talk about Mike Tyson, Anthony Joshua, and the current boxing scene as well as his own extremely eventful career.

The former professional boxer competed from 1982 to 1996.

The pinnacle of his boxing career was winning the WBC heavyweight title, in what was his fourth world championship challenge.

He also held the European heavyweight title earlier in his career.

Bruno was one of the most well-loved and recognisable boxers in British history, and faced multiple top-rated heavyweights during his career including two bouts with Mike Tyson and a domestic clash against Lennox Lewis.

A spokesman from the theatre said: "His journey has been an interesting one and with a new book and a film in the pipeline his life story is forever changing."

For the special event Frank will be supported by Jed Fry comedian compare.

An audience with Frank Bruno will be at the Palace Theatre on July 7.
