DRIVERS are facing further delays after work to fix a burst water main in Worcester was postponed.
Four-way temporary traffic lights, installed near Worcester Trade Park at the junction of Sheriff Street and Tolladine Road, Worcester, will remain in place until tomorrow(Saturday, August 19), with work hoped to be completed today (Friday, August 18).
It is hoped the traffic lights will be removed in the morning.
Work was due for completion by the end of Wednesday, August 16, then a new deadline was set of Friday, August 18 but Severn Trent were unable to repair the leak.
A Severn Trent spokesman said this was due to engineers requiring a part.
He said: "The leak should be fixed today but it looks like, because of the delay in having to go for the part, we won’t be able to reinstate the road until tomorrow. We’d like to apologise to everyone affected by the extended repair work but everything should be complete tomorrow morning.
