AN inspiring 10-year-old from Bromsgrove is a step closer to funding her 4th defibrillator, to be installed in schools across the district.
Emily Faulkner increased the fundraising total for her Every Heart Matters campaign to £3,556 last weekend, after selling her specially-designed t-shirts and accessories at New Ravens Rugby Club in Hopwood.
The Parkside Middle School pupil held competitions for spectators to guess the number of sweets in a jar and guess a teddy bear's name, raising an extra £93.10 for the cause.
Ravens Juniors player Ben Colson collected another £102.21, while Droitwich Tyres and Exhaust made a £50 donation.
Emily's aunt Gail Fry, who works at the family's Bromsgrove printing store Focal Image, said: "Emily is getting massive support and would like to thank everyone for their help. She has got another busy weekend on September 1 to 3, with more fundraising opportunities."
