STUDLEY students will channel the Rydell High School spirit during a spectacular 40th anniversary production of the hit movie Grease.

Pupils from all year groups at Studley high School have been sacrificing their time at break, lunch, and after school to rehearse for the upcoming show.

Head of performing arts, and director, Olivia Hinde, said: “The cast is led by Nathan Chapman as Danny Zuko and Hollie Troth as Sandy, supported by 65 committed and talented students, performing front of stage and behind the scenes.

"We would love support from our community to come and see the hard work our pupils have put into this production.

"Students have been practicing diligently for over six months, honing their singing and dancing skills during hours of rehearsals.

"Students and staff across the school are building and painting sets, and sourcing props for the show.”

The hit film, which stars John Travolta as Danny and Olivia Newton-John as Sandy was released in 1978 and has become a cult classic.

With songs such as "Summer Nights", "Sandy", "You're The One That I Want", and "Greased Lightnin", there will be plenty for audience members to sing along to.

The show runs on June 27, 28 and 29, hitting the stage at 7pm.

Tickets can be purchased from school reception, Willi’s Social Club in Studley or by emailing office@studleyhighschool.org.uk.
