A CHARITY lunch in Stourport raised £1,800 for vital research into treatments and cures for cancer.
The popular annual event organised by Cancer Research UK’s Wyre Forest Committee at the Hallmark Hotel Stourport Manor last Tuesday (May 15) was attended by 132 guests.
Chairman Peter Tomlinson said: “Our guest speaker, Professor Lawrence Young, a dear friend and supporter of our committee, spoke with his usual enthusiasm about the fantastic work being carried out in the field of cancer research. We all left feeling inspired and uplifted.”
