A BEREAVED father has raised almost £10,000 in memory of his daughter.
Eddie Howell, 82, from Evesham has taken on a skydive, abseiling and now a concert after his daughter Cherry Seekins, 56 died from cancer.
He is now promoting a concert entitled 'Ahoy', a musical based upon the raising of the Mary Rose and is being performed by The Hanley Voices, Prince Henry's High School, The De Montfort High School and a group from the Cheltenham Youth Choir.
The concert takes place at Evesham Arts Centre on Sunday June 24 at 3pm.
Mr Howell said: "In 2017 I resolved to raise funds in her memory for Cancer Research UK and St. Richards Hospice.
"I signed up to do a Skydive in September of that year and raised in excess of £5K.
"Currently my fund raising is just less than £9K my aim is to beat the £10K barrier.
"I was in a bit of a bad place when Cherry died and St Richard's Hospice really helped me."
Tickets are £11 or £8 for children and are available online from Evesham Arts Centre or The Almonry Centre 01386446944.
