A SELFLESS Kidderminster Harriers player is preparing to get his long locks sheared off for two noble causes.

Goalkeeper Brandon Hall, 24, will be having a “fairly drastic” haircut towards the end of the month in a fundraising effort for Prostate Cancer UK.

Brandon wants to raise awareness of prostate cancer, which is the most common cancer found in men, and “send out of message to the guys to get themselves checked out.”

He will also be donating his shaven hair, which could be around eight to nine inches, to the Little Princess Trust, who provide wigs for children who have undergone cancer treatment.

Harriers sports scientist Elliot Turner has also joined Brandon on the awareness campaign, and the two will both have the chop at the Aggborough stadium.

Brandon has already raised over £700 for the cancer charity and is on track to hit his target of £1000.

He said: “As soon as donations came in it was a heart-warming feeling.”

“It’s incredible how much has been raised so far.

“Raising money for this important charity is very close to mine and my family’s heart and I’d be incredibly grateful for any donation you’re able to give.

“If you’re unable to give any money, please help by spreading the word.

“It’s all about trying to raise awareness and get as many people checked as possible.”
