BLACKWELL First School has received a £5,000 funding boost to expand its outdoor learning opportunities.
The school is one of just four organisations in the West Midlands to benefit from The Cadbury Foundation's 'Your Charity, Your Choice' scheme.
Blackwell First's Parent Teacher Friend Association (PTFA) was nominated by Mondelez International employees to receive a donation towards resources that lie outside of state funding.
The contribution will support the PTFA's outdoor learning project, which aims to improve children's mental well-being.
Head teacher Anna Moss said: "We are delighted to have been chosen as a charity to benefit from the generosity of Mondel?z.
"The children have benefitted hugely from the outdoor facilities that have enabled our Forest School Nursery to flourish.
"There is nothing better than supporting the development of the next generation in its appreciation of the natural world.”
Kelly Farrell, community affairs manager at Mondelez International, added: “We’re extremely proud to be able to support the charities that are important to our employees through our ‘Your Charity Your Choice’ scheme.
"Each of the charities selected by our West Midlands based employees represent exactly what this scheme is about.”
