FREE health and fitness classes are being in Droitwich this summer.

The 'Get Wychavon Active' initiative is taking place in King George's Playing Field, near the skate park, in Droitwich.

Family Yoga sessions are taking every Monday from 10am to 11am and boot camp for beginners aged 16 and over, is every Wednesday at 6.30pm.

Caroline Winnall, Fortis Living health and wellbeing coordinator, said: "We want people of all ages and abilities to come and experience the fun of exercising outdoors. Whether it’s to improve strength and flexibility, burn calories and increase fitness or just to get outdoors; our session are sociable, welcoming and definitely worth a try."

Mark Williams, sports development officer for Wychavon, said: "We are delighted to be supporting Fortis Living with their health and fitness classes. Though this project we hope to make a big difference to residents lives from the benefits of physical activity and making healthier lifestyle choices as a result."

Those who attend the sessions will get priority places on the free 12-week programme of classes starting in September, funded by 'Get Wychavon Active'.
