ELDERLY rowers have broken a world record in memory of a daughter who lost her life to cancer
Francis Pinkerton, Bryan Hay, Norman Baldwin and Richard Evans took on the challenge from Lincoln to Boston, breaking a record in their age class.
The rowers, aged 71, 69, 68 and 48 respectively, completed the journey in three hours, 36 minutes and 24 seconds for St Barnabas Hospice Trust where Mr Baldwin's daughter Trudi, 42, was cared for.
The rowers, are undertaking a 31 mile trip, a mean feat for a group aged 71, 69, 68 and 48 respectively.
The group managed to raise £1300 for the hospice and broke the record by nearly 28 minutes.
