A NEW non-executive director has joined the board at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Steve Williams, a chartered accountant who lives in Malvern, has a background in financial and operational management.
Caragh Merrick, chair of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “I am delighted to announce Steve’s appointment.
"I know that he will bring invaluable experience and insight to the board and my colleagues and I are looking forward to working with him.”
Mr William's previous roles include director of finance for Price Waterhouse management consultants, finance director for Atos UK and chief operating officer and chief financial officer for international law firm Maples and Calder.
He is currently a governor at Warwickshire College Group, as well as a volunteer mentor for Sported, a charity which provides sport for development programmes to disadvantaged young people.
He is also director of InUnity – a not-for-profit organisation which seeks to engage with and empower disadvantaged young people.
For the role, Mr Williams is entitled to £6,157 a year.
