DOG lovers have the chance to make a difference to a shelter in desperate need.

Dogs Trust Evesham are holding a recruitment drive for local people who want to give up their time and lend a paw to help homeless hounds to come along to its volunteer induction day tomorrow (Saturday, August 11), from 9am until 11 am.

Dogs Trust Evesham relies on the support of its volunteers who have given in excess of 3,200 hours so far this year. From walking four-legged friends to helping at events, Dogs Trust Evesham says their work could not continue if it wasn’t for the support from their herd of helpers.

The Wickhamford-based rehoming centre already has a team of 60 volunteers, but the team are busier than ever and say they can never have enough help to keep the centre running smoothly.

To attend the morning, taking place at 89 Pitchers Hill, Wickhamford, Evesham, you must register in advance by calling Natalie Gould on 01386 835 853 or emailing natalie.gould@dogstrust.org.uk.
