WYRE Forest Friends of the Earth recently held an information day in Bewdley in support of their campaigns against air pollution and to save Britain's bees.

Dozens of people took leaflets about how they can help protect the bees and signed pledges in support of the clean air campaign.

Phil Oliver, Wyre Forest FOE co-ordinator, said: "We received great support from people in Bewdley. Everyone loves bees and there is great concern that they are dying out.

"We can help save them by not using pesticides and by growing bee-friendly plants in our gardens.

"Air pollution is a hidden killer and causes 40,000 early deaths in the UK every year. Diesel vehicles are a major problem and I am delighted so many people signed our petition cards calling on the UK to commit to end diesel use by 2025.

"We received donations totalling £35 in support of our campaigns."
