TWO charities benefitted from more than £1,600 thanks to the efforts of a Kidderminster fundraiser.
Robert Stride arranged his annual fundraiser at the Aggborough Suite at Kidderminster Harriers in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Ward 10 at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
And the night was a huge success, helping to raise a total of £3,400. Each charity was given £1,600 each while Mr Stride’s friend Katie Thorley was given the remaining £200 as she is running the London Marathon on Sunday (April 22) in aid of Kids with Cancer UK.
The fundraising night consisted of a quiz, auction, raffle, comedians and a live performance from the band “Time of the Mouth”.
It was also supported by the Kidderminster branch of Barclays Bank, who sponsored the event.
A delighted Mr Stride said he is already in talks about hosting future charity events, including a possible family fun day in Kidderminster during the late summer.
