The Magnificat window.
THE Friends of Malvern Priory are hosting the very first Heritage and Faith Lecture on Saturday, September 23, at 6.30pm.
The lecture is entitled Power and Praise in Glass and is based on the beautiful Magnificat window in the north transept of the church.
This window was given to the priory in 1501-2 by Henry VII and depicts scenes from Mary's life and contains the words from Luke's gospel where she praises God.
The lecturer, Katherine Wells from Malvern, has made study of the Priory's stained glass and has written a book on the subject.
Tickets are on sale in the priory and parish office on 01684 561020 or office@greatmalvernpriory.org.uk and cost £10 or £8 for members of the Friends £8. Wine and canapes will be served.
