CHILDREN and staff at a nursery in Redditch are celebrating after it was rated ‘Good’ in its latest Ofsted inspection.

Bright Kids Nursery, on Evesham Road in Crabbs Cross, was praised for its “ambitious and reflective” staff who have a “good understanding of how children learn and develop”.

Children are “happy and confident” due to a “bright, stimulating and well resourced” environment, inspector Amanda Tomkin said in her report.

It is a double-celebration for the nursery, which marked its 16th birthday earlier this month.

Nursery Manager Anita Shepherd said: “We’re really pleased with the outcome. What a great birthday present!

“I’m very proud of my team and this inspection recognises the hard work and dedication of our staff in promoting the well-being of our children and motivating them in their learning.”

To better its ‘Good’ grading, which it retained from a last inspection in 2014, the nursery was told to improve organisation of planned activities and assess the impact of staff.

Bright Kids Crabbs Cross offers childcare for children aged from six weeks up to five years.

It also offers before and after school care and holiday club for children aged from four to 12 years.
