CHRISTMAS cheer is heading to Studley as the village prepares for its Christmas lights switch-on and the return of its popular festive market.

After a successful first year, the Studley Christmas Market will return from Friday, December 1, from 1.30pm until 8pm in Millennium Square on High Street.

The annual Studley Christmas Lights Switch On will take place on the same day at 6.30pm, while the annual Christmas Fayre in Studley Village hall runs from 5pm until 8pm.

Siân Smith of the Studley Market Committee said: “We are very excited to bring these three exciting events together to make sure Studley celebrates Christmas in style.

“We have listened to feedback from last year and worked together to improve the whole evening with more stalls, more activities and more entertainment than before.

“It’s such a pleasure to see everyone enjoying themselves in the village.

“Studley feels like a really positive place to be at the moment and we know that the whole community will turn out to support the festivities and have a great time welcoming Christmas to the village!”

The market will be managed by CJS Events Warwickshire Ltd and coordinated by local business forum Studley in Business.

This year the market will have 20 stalls offering visitors anything from gifts, books, and jewellery, to festive food and drink.

The annual Studley Christmas Lights Switch On will take place at 6.30pm, arranged by the Studley Christmas Lights Committee.

Running alongside the action outdoors will be the annual Christmas Fayre in Studley Village Hall, which includes craft stalls and tombola’s, Santa’s grotto, and carol singing.

Two local choirs will also be performing during the afternoon and evening.
