PRIME Minister Theresa May met with Primrose Hospice's newly-appointed chairman of trustees on Monday (April 23).

Rod Laight, who is also a Bromsgrove district councillor, welcomed Mrs May as she visited the West Midlands as part of the Conservative Party's local election campaign.

Cllr Laight, who took up the position at Primrose Hospice in February, said he felt privileged to meet the Prime Minister at the Conservative Club in Sedgley.

He said: "It is important to do all we can to help raise the profile of the Primrose Hospice, which relies on donations to carry out its important work in the community.

"It was a pleasure to meet Theresa May in my capacity as chairman of trustees at the hospice.”

The Bromsgrove hospice is an independent charity supporting patients and families living with life-limiting illnesses.
