THE Tenbury No Interest Loans Scheme will hold its annual general meeting later this month.
It provides ‘loans’ of up to £400 to people in financial difficulties.
The ‘loans’ are in the form of credits that can be used to purchase vital items ranging from white goods like washing machines to school uniforms.
Customers are not charged interest and there is not administration charge.
Repayments are arranged so as to be affordable.
The scheme that originates in Australia has an agreement that would enable it to recover any default from benefits but this is only used as a last resort.
Since opening in Tenbury the scheme has expanded and now also lends money in Ludlow and Leominster.
The annual general meeting will be at St Mary’s Church in Tenbury on Thursday, August 17 at 6pm.
