A FAMILY has raised £603 for Worcestershire Royal Hospital’s chemotherapy suite in recognition of the excellent care their relative received on the unit.
Simon, Jayne and Clive Dulson, of Tenbury Wells, donated the cash to the Rowan Suite after being struck by the compassion and hard work of the staff who looked after Wendy Dulson, who died following chemotherapy treatment at the hospital.
Simon Dulson said: “We’re donating this money to Rowan Suite because we wanted to make it a little bit easier for the staff on the ward to continue giving the great care that they are giving.
“We wanted to thank the nurses who cared for my mother and give a little something back by helping draw attention to the good work that is being done here.
“They deserve our appreciation and we hope this donation will help allow others to receive the same quality care that Wendy did.”
Sam Leonard, senior sister on Rowan Suite, added: “We are really grateful for this donation by the Dulson family.
“Their donation will help provide additional equipment for the suite and can help us give that little bit extra that will enhance patient care and experience in the hospital.”
