St Peters Garden Centre in Norton, Worcester, has set its sights on regaining a festive award.

The family-run business was voted the best Christmas display in the Midlands last year and has been busy putting the finishing touches to 2014’s seasonal presentations.

A Santa’s Grotto has opened at the centre today (November 22) while a mini fun fair and outside coffee shop serving festive treats have also been set up.

Tony Blake, owner of the garden centre, said: “It takes an extreme amount of work and effort to transform the garden centre into a magical Christmas experience, but it makes it worthwhile when you see the joy on the little ones' faces.

“We are hoping to top last year’s charity donation when we raised over £5,000 for the Wooden Spoon.”

The site will also host a reindeer sleigh pull on Sunday, December 7, at 11am, an event which attracted about 400 customers last year.
