A WORCESTER woman said she had an "amazing time" performing on Britain's Got Talent although her group missed out on a space in the finals.

The Honeybuns, featuring Worcester girl Kate Playdon, came sixth in the second live semi-final of Britain's Got Talent on Tuesday night.

The 26-year-old who is formerly from Kempsey but now lives in London, sang Hold On by Wilson Phillips with her five singing companions after initially wowing judges in the auditions.

Although they impressed the judges, the Honeybuns didn't receive enough votes to make it through to the finals on the weekend. They lost out to Jules O'Dwyer and her dog Matisse and Old Men Grooving.

David Walliams described the group's performance on Tuesday night as sassy and fun, while Amanda Holden said they were "brilliant fun" and that she loved the "sophisticated look".

Miss Playdon said: "Although we weren't chosen to go through to the finals, we had amazing fun and the experience as a whole was so worth it. We loved getting dressed up, having make up done, performing. It was amazing and I hope it's just the start from us.

"My mum was in her element watching me on TV, and it was just brilliant. The judges will get chance on Friday to choose their wild card to bring back to the show. Of course I hope they choose us. But if not, we are still going to stay together and keep doing what we love. We've had amazing feedback from people and think this is just the start for us."
