A TWO-STOREY extension to the Premier Inn near Evesham has been approved by councillors.
The L-shaped addition to the hotel on the A46 in Twyford will house 50 new en-suite bedrooms, bringing the hotel's total capacity to more than 100 bedrooms.
An increase of 40 car parking spaces is also planned.
The proposals were approved unanimously by Wychavon District Council's planning committee on Thursday (May 28).
Councillor Jo Sandalls said she hoped the expansion would bring footfall into the town while Councillor Ken Barclay added he was "very pleased" with the proposals.
Planning permission for the extension had previously been granted by Wychavon District Council but these permissions had expired.
The exact same plans were therefore re-submitted to planners.
