A TELEVISION dancing star is set to open a new youth and community centre.

Warren Bullock, star of Channel 5’s Baby Ballroom, will open All Sorts of Performing Arts at Medway youth and community centre.

The dancing maestro is well known for his appearance in the Channel 5 documentary Baby Ballroom, which takes us into the lives of the UKs top junior ballroom couples, and a world of sequin covered kids with pushy parents, a scene that Bullock and his wife Jane are no strangers to.

They are well known in the UK ballroom scene and Warren owns a dance teaching business with 14 studios.

Two of their daughters have followed their parents footsteps in becoming ballroom dancers.

We will all be suffering with a ‘Strictly’ sized hole in our lives after the Strictly Come Dancing final this Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC1.

Luckily, the opening of All Sorts on Sunday, January 21 at 1pm, will feature dance demonstrations and workshops throughout the afternoon to get us back into the salsa spirit.

All Sorts Of Performing Arts is a well-known community theatre school offering classes for cheerleading, musical theatre, singing, and drama, and has a new permanent base thanks to a generous agreement with Worcester Municipal Charities.

All Sorts, which is run by qualified teachers and hardworking volunteers, has worked at various locations previously, and will be based at the Medway centre while also holding care home performances, after school clubs, workshops and an annual pantomime showcase.

School principal, Stuart Inglis, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to build on our current activity, bringing it all together and offering more in terms of variety of classes, increased frequency of classes and the space to accommodate greater numbers within the classes to reduce waiting lists.”

The school began with just 10 students and has now grown to over 100, with outstanding exam results and many distinctions.

It aims to nurture passion in students and support them in their progression in performing arts.
