POLICE in Worcester are urging members of the public to check their sheds or outbuildings as part of a continued search for a 'high risk' missing man.

Matthew Bone has been missing since Friday, March 9 and concerns for his wellbeing are mounting.

The 26-year-old is thought to have been sleeping rough in Callow End on Thursday, March 8, and booked into Stanbrook Abbey on the morning of Friday, March 9 but has not been seen since.

Since his disappearance, police have received numerous reported sightings.

Some have reported seeing in the Postal Order pub, in Foregate Street, Worcester, within the last week.

Officers have also received a report of Mr Bone sleeping in a tent in the Inkberrow area of Worcestershire.

Mr Bone, from Portsmouth, is considered a high risk missing person and both police and his family are concerned about his current state of mind.

Detective Inspector Dave Knight, of West Mercia Police, previously said Mr Bone's family were 'deeply concerned for his welfare'.

He added: "He is still missing. We are concerned for his welfare and urge people to check their sheds and outbuildings. It is especially concerning with the weather we have at the moment."

It is thought Mr Bone has been walking through the Worcestershire countryside.

He also has links to Norfolk, according to West Mercia Police.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident number 410s of Sunday, March 11.
