A team race with a difference across the Malvern Hills is being organised to raise money for charity.

The adventure race, which takes place on Saturday, May 29, will start at the Outdoor Education Centre in West Malvern, and participating teams will set out for a run across the iconic Malvern Hills to help the centre raise money for the Worcester-based Noah's Ark Trust, which supports bereaved children and their families.

The event is open to 13-15 year olds and includes running around the Malvern Hills, abseiling, archery, quarry traverse and more.

Nick Hands, Malvern Hills Course Director, said: "The Noah's Ark Trust are major supporters of the Outdoor Service, and we'd like to get the help and support of young people to help raise funds for them.

"This event has been organised to inspire and encourage young people to enjoy fun outdoors and raise money for a good local charity, who are also providing a team of volunteers to support us on the day."

Those keen to get involved need to pull together a team of three and register their entry, including £1 entry fee per person, with Nick Hands, either by post at Malvern Hills Outdoor Education Centre, Old Hollow, Malvern, Worcestershire WR141 4NR, telephone 01684 574546 or email nhands@worcestershire.gov.uk For more information visit worcestershire.gov.uk/outdoors
