FIVE youths were arrested on Wednesday night after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in Bromsgrove Town Centre.

The teenager was discovered by police with stab wounds to his back outside the HSBC Bank in the High Street following a disturbance involving a lot of young people opposite the Love 2 Love nightclub in Worcester Road.

The incident, which took place at about 10.15pm, is thought by police to be connected to postings on social networking sites in recent days.

He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham but the injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

Detective Constable Nadia Prescott of Bromsgrove CID said:”We understand the disturbance that broke out involved a number of people who had attended an under 18s disco at Love 2 Love. We are now studying CCTV footage and appealing for anyone who saw what happened or knows who was involved to get in touch with us as a matter of urgency.”
