THE numbers all added up when Gladys Slack celebrated her 105th birthday.
Mrs Slack, of the Albion Lodge retirement home, Hanley Swan, near Malvern, was joined by her son Stuart Slack and daughter-in-law Pat for the occasion.
She received a special card from the Queen to mark the big day and also got a telegram from Iain Duncan Smith, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.
“She very much enjoyed the occasion, although at 105 she's not one for riotous parties,” said Mr Slack He said his mother was originally from the Peterborough area, but moved to Hanley Swan some years ago to be nearer her son and daughter-in-law.
