A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Worcestershire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the A451 between Great Witley and Dunley, near Stourport, shortly before 5.15pm yesterday.
The incident, which involved a black Yamaha motorcycle and a Land Rover Discovery, was discovered by a community first responder who was driving home from work along the same road.
The motorcylist was pronounced dead at the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “A Community First Responder was driving home from work along the same road when he came across the collision involving the motorcyclist and a 4x4.
"He immediately stopped to help. He had his responder kit and defibrillator with him and immediately began to resuscitate the man.
"Also in the area and stopping to help were two off-duty district nurses and an off-duty consultant anaesthetist.
"They were joined by two rapid response vehicles, one driven by a BASICS Emergency Doctor from MARS (Mercia Accident Rescue Service), the other driven by a paramedic area support officer and two ambulance crews.
“Sadly, despite the best efforts in trying to resuscitate the man, he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash.
