A MAN has appeared in court charged with sexual assault and two kidnaps with intent to commit sexual offences.

Thomas Clark, aged 20, of Barbourne Road, Worcester appeared before magistrates on Saturday.

He is charged with kidnap (falsely imprisoning a person with intent to commit a relevant sexual offence) on April 24, sexual assault on a female (sexual touching of a female over the age of 16 without her consent) on May 6 and a further charge of kidnap (falsely imprisoning a person with intent to commit a relevant sexual offence) also on May 6.

The allegation involves two incidents, the first at a bus stop on Barbourne Road, Worcester, and the second at Sansome Walk, Worcester, near the Baptist church.

The case was prosecuted by Kiernan Cunningham and Clark was represented by Sam Lamsdale, who made no application for bail.

Magistrates formally committed the case to Worcester Crown Court for a hearing on Monday, August 20.
