Elgar Technology College were approached by Anna Windsor from Warwick University to take part in a scheme which collects old text books that are shipped out to be used in Tanzanian Secondary Schools. The charity is called Read Book Project and information can be found on their website http://www.readinternational.org.uk/
We have managed to collect over 1000 books from various Faculties, including English, Science and Design Technology, and also from the Library. This has been a good way for us to recycle old books usefully rather than them just going to be pulped or to landfill.
