SCIENCE CLUB meets on Thursday evening after school in the Chemistry Lab. They are working on a long term project, building a weather station and growing examples of biomass fuels to test out theories surrounding climate change and plant growth.

They visited a farm in Eastham, during the autumn, to look at an example of Miscanthus (Elephant Grass ) growing in the Teme Valley as a biomass crop. They have recently revisited the farm to see how the crop looks ready for harvesting and, with the permission of the farmer, they dug up some roots and are to grow the plant on in a specially designated area at school.
