On Tuesday 11th of March Welland Primary School took part in the small schools football tournament at the Chase High School.
The team was:Josh Smith,Todd Mathews,Jon Hall,Joe Crews(goalkeeper),Alex Westfield,Hugo Lennard,Wyll Dyke and Stan Flinton.We played five fantastic matches ,the team played brilliantly all encouraging each other and over seen by our coach Mrs.Smith.Our first match was against Pendock which we won 2-0,our second match was against Leigh and Bransford which was a 0-0 draw.Our final group match was against Castlemorton,which we won 2-0.This meant we won our group,but only by goal difference.In the semi-final we had a superb match against Hanley Swan,which we won 1-0.We were now in the final this meant it was us against Leigh and Bransford again.It was a really exiting game and we came out on top and won 1-0 making us the overall winners,we were all very exited including our coach mrs.Smith.
