LITTLE Witley company K2 International has produced a new KDO flexographic press for a busy UK printing company so it can meet growing demand for its label printing services.

Midland Regional Printers in Nottingham is using the KDO 3 Series, four colour 265mm narrow web machine to produce self-adhesive labels for customers in the leisure and entertainment sectors.

The touch screen, PLC-controlled press is equipped with ceramic anilox rolls with doctor blades as well as a range of other features including fully automatic web tension control and rotary scissor slitting. It is the third KDO machine to be supplied to MRP's Basford facility.

Kevin Brennan, production manager of MRP's label department, said: "The machines are extremely reliable and very little production downtime has been lost through breakdowns."
