IT has been a long wait for Severn Leisure Cruises, but the Upton-upon-Severn company has fully recovered from last summer's devastating floods and is ready to welcome customers back on board once again.

The family-run business, which organises corporate events on the MV Conway Castle, the biggest passenger vessel on the river Severn, was badly affected by last July's damaging floods, which sent four-feet of water gushing through its offices.

However, thanks to an extensive refurbishment project, the company is raring to go.

"We can't wait to start the summer season once again," said company owner Ken Harris. "The Conway Castle has been redecorated and our bookings office is really busy already.

"We can cater for up to 300 delegates, and offer entertainment and food packages and a personal event planner, who stays on-board the planning process from start to finish to ensure everything runs smoothly."

Severn Leisure Cruises is a member of conference-worcestershire, which promotes the county as an ideal destination for business tourism.
