The meeting on Tuesday, April 8, was very well attended for the presentation Munches And Bunches by our distinguished guest Bob Harris, who - true to form - delighted us with an irresistible combination of floral arrangements and both savoury and sweet items of food. He is equally at home assembling flowers and foliage imaginatively and serving up delicious dishes. His portable mini-cooker fits in seamlessly with his secateurs and oasis.

Our meeting, on Thursday, April 17, in the village hall, began with Jerusalem helped by our pianist Liz Chestney. A posy of flowers was presented to Mrs Chestney for her birthday.

Members were welcomed by our President Joan Davies to our April meeting. Thanks were given for the spring flowers for the president's table which were added to the raffle prizes, and to the tea ladies.

Members attended the annual federation of Recorded Music Societies' weekend at Daventry, where the first speaker was the eminent pianist John Lill, in conversation with society vice-president Lyndon Jenkins.
