SWANPOOL W1

Members were welcomed by our President Joan Davies to our April meeting. Thanks were given for the spring flowers for the president's table which were added to the raffle prizes, and to the tea ladies.

Our craft meeting on the third Wednesday saw us making pop-up cards; Thursday a group went to the annual council meeting at Malvern, of which Kay gave us a most interesting report. Sue Philpots hosted the book club meeting where we discussed To Kill a Mocking Bird and received the next one The Grapes Of Wrath.

Arrangements for the spring rally were finalised and for the group meeting.

Invitations for various occasions were on the board where we may add our names.

Our speaker was unable to come and we were fortunate in having a member who had just returned from holiday in India, so Kay Watkins was warmly welcomed with her experiences, thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, and an appropriate basket of fruit and veg for herself and horse was presented as a thank you.

Next meetings is the resolutions' and we were reminded of the two which will be discussed.
