THE royal seal of approval was given to the renovation of Worcester's old glove factory when the Princess Royal visited the city to officially open it today.
Local dignitaries including the Mayor and Mayoress of Worcester and the High Sheriff of Worcestershire Sir John Foley turned out to welcome the Princess to the Lowesmoor building.
The former factory has undergone a £1m refurbishment over the last five years and now houses charitable organisations.
She arrived at around 1.05pm escorted by the Lord Lieutenant Michael Brinton and was taken to Chapters cafe, which is run by the Headway Worcester Trust.
