ALMOST 2,000 bobble hats especially for drinks bottles have been knitted for a local charity.
Over 50 people volunteered recently to help raise funds for Age Concern Herefordshire & Worcestershire by knitting the hats to fit on Innocent drink bottles, making tiny bobbles and stitching them on and donating wool and needles.
A total of 1,855 hats were knitted, raising £871.85.
A spokesman for Age COncern Herefordshire & Worcestershire said: "We would like to thank everyone who contributed in any way. Our youngest knitter was only seven years old and was taught by her granny."
In conjunction with Innocent Drinks and Sainsburys each individual Innocent drink sold wearing one of these hats will raise 50p for Age Concern. The hat wearing drinks will be on sale in Sainsburys for two weeks from Wednesday, November 7.
