UP to 40 firefighters are tackling a huge blaze on the edge of Worcester.

Six fire engines, containing crews from Worcester, Droitwich and Malvern have been called to the fire, at B.Smith Packaging.

Thick black smoke from the packaging firm - which supplies boxes, paper, polythene bags, ribbons and labels - in Stanier Road, off Cotswold Way, Warndon, can be seen for miles around.

Parts of the building have now collapsed. Several buildings nearby - including Leapfrog Day Nursery, Tesco Express and Severn Veterinary Centre - have been evacuated.West Midlands Ambulance Trust said it had one crew on the scene, but there were no reported injuries.
