Teachers strike was totally out of order
SIR - The teachers' strike was totally out of order.
No thought for the children and parents who had to take time off work.
Now I know teaching can be quite hard and frustrating but they have a job for life.
Long holidays and a full-salaried pension at the end.
Pensioners receive the same increase, but that was taken away with the over-inflation council tax.
What I'm trying to say is public sector pay rises and the utilities are the main causes of inflation and when inflation gets out of control, the Bank Of England puts up the bank rate and no one wins in the end.
So teachers should look at the bigger picture.

Worcester.
