A music-themed coffee morning raised £175 for the Glusburn Primary School choir.

The school hosted the coffee morning on May 23, an event which featured two sets of songs that the 35-strong choir had practised throughout the year in addition to arrangements they had sung recently at the Wharfedale Music Festival.

The fundraiser, which was organised by Mike Clayton, Year 3 teacher and music co-ordinator, featured a CD amnesty, which also raised funds for the choir so they can go on school trips and buy new pieces of music to sing.

The money will also be used to purchase new musical instruments for the school.
