THE most bizarre questions visitors have asked staff at Worcester's Travelodge hotel have been revealed.

Between them, Travelodge hotel teams receive more than 200,000 weird and wonderful requests every year.

Worcester is no exception with some of the strangest questions in the past 12 months including:

• Can I have a room facing north?

• Please can you go get my friends from the train station?

• Can you look after my pet cat whilst I head out for an hour?

• What time is the best time to get up if I want to feel awake?

• Please can you pick my friends up from the train station?

Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge spokeswoman, said: “Our annual bizarre requests audit of 513 hotels reveals over 200,000 unusual requests by our business and leisure customers, with some of the more unusual ones coming from our hotel in Worcester.

"Our hotel teams will always try their best to accommodate customer requests but there are just some requests that we just can’t help with, such as changing the weather or counting the stars in the sky."

Other strange requests across the UK have included a receptionist at Lutterworth Travelodge being asked by one customer “what time does the 24 hour reception close?”

At Gatwick Airport Travelodge, a customer asked the hotel manager “does the plane pull up outside of the hotel or do you drive us to the plane in the morning for my flight to the Caribbean?”
