THE ghost of Christmas past is set to haunt Worcester's streets once more for this year's Fayre.

This year's Worcester Victorian Christmas Fayre which takes place from Thursday, November 27 to Sunday, November 30. It is the 22nd Christmas Fayre of its kind in the city. It has been hailed as the most prestigious Victorian themed street market in the Midlands and is set to be bigger and better than ever before, say organisers.

Stallholders and entertainers will be dressed in traditional Victorian costume, bringing a somewhat Dickensian feel to the city streets. Organisers have promised a huge amount of stalls to choose from with old favourites like the Victorian Galloper (Carousel) making an appearance as children are whirled around to the sound of the traditional barrel organ music.

Organiser say there will be over 150 stalls at this year's Fayre - more than ever before - with a bigger range of exciting gifts and goodies on show from Crepes to Christmas Crackers. Fancy dress is also set to turn a heads from people dressed as chimney sweeps to Victorian ladies and gentlemen, giving the streets of Worcester a traditional festive flavour.

Over 100,000 people from far and wide pack the streets of the city every year for the Fayre.

The Victorian Fayre is also considered a showcase for the local food and drink producers, all of whom will be waiting in the food court.
